Windscreen Repair

A chip in your windscreen can be annoying, but it could also be costly if left and can turn into a crack at any time.

We know how frustrating it is when a stone hits your window and you suddenly have a chip! Whilst you might be tempted to leave this, as soon as that chip develops into a crack it is time to buy a new windscreen.

At Premier Shine, we’ve been repairing windscreen chips since 2003 - we’ve seen the good, the bad and the ugly!

Will I need a new windscreen?

As a windscreen repairer and not a windscreen replacement business, it is my aim to repair a chip to the highest standard possible. As a result, I will spend more time and dedication to repairing the chip. Assessing the chip is our first priority; a chip must be under a certain size (usual £1 coin) and within the A zone. Zone A is a vertical area 290mm wide, centred on the steering wheel and contained within the swept area of the windscreen (source: gov.uk)

Once this assessment has been completed, I will inform you if it is repairable or not. With any repair, there is always a small chance that the chip has caused damage that is non-repairable; resulting in the need for a new windscreen.

We offer a full, money back guarantee if our repair fails. No one in our industry does this!

Visit our Windscreen Repair page for more information, or book a repair through our booking system. We only offer a repair service, we do not replace glass.
