Windscreen chip repair
It’s imperative to have your chip repaired immediately, rather than waiting. Not only because it can crack off at any time, but debris and water can get inside the crack and hinder the repair. The longer it is left, the less chance there is of the repair working as well. Often leaving a ‘white ghosting’ effect around the area of impact.

What can be repaired.
If the chip is below the size of a 10 pence piece, this can often be easily repaired.
If the chip has spread beyond this initial area, it may not be repairable and a new screen could be required. We will always inform you if this is the case.

Important information.
When you get a chip in your windscreen, this indicates that the windscreen has been broken. A windscreen repair is an attempt to isolate this issue, and stop the chip from spreading further across your screen. Whilst we will always attempt to isolate the issue, there is always a small chance that the chip has caused damage that is non-repairable; resulting in the need for a new windscreen.
